The Greenwich Police Explorer Program an is unit of elite high school aged students (14-18 years old) who volunteer their time and energy to serve and assist the Greenwich community. This program is perfect for those interested in the field of criminal justice and emergency services.
Instructed by State Certified Law Enforcement Officers, high schoolers are taught the basics of a functioning police department from the ground up! Explorers are taught police self-defense tactics, a basic traffic stop scenario, and much more! After many hours of training, explorers are able to ride-along on a shift with a police officer in the ‘ride-along program’.
